The UK based news organization owns the Daily Mail. They posted a story during Donald Trump’s campaign, alleging that Melania was once a paid escort. A story that seriously harmed her reputation and potential earnings, her lawyers said.
The suit suggests that the story, which ran last August, has caused Melania to: “lose significant value as well as major business opportunities that were otherwise available to her.”
The lawyers also note that the article caused Melania to miss out on opportunities to create a “commercial brand” that could benefit her in the future. These allegations seem highly relevant when you consider what is happening to Ivanka Trump. She is now the victim of several…

Nordstrom and Nieman Marcus department stores have recently made the decision to drop Ivanka Trump fashions. A decision that seems to be more about politics than principles. And while their decision it is not deterring Ivanka, it is causing her unnecessary problems.
It would seem that those who cannot defeat President Trump, have taken to bullying his wife and daughter.
The $150 million-dollar lawsuit forced the Daily Mail to retract their article on Melania. Ironically, the retracted story seemed to be nothing more than a veiled attempt at defaming her again. No apologies were involved.
The retraction, which is an admission of guilt, should arguably guarantee a win for the first lady–in court at least.
