Nordstrom department store, headquartered in Seattle, has made the decision to no longer carry Ivanka Trump clothing and accessories. A decision they suggested was necessary for profitability.
“We’ve said all along we make buying decisions based on performance. In this case, based on the brand’s performance, we’ve decided not to buy it for this season.”
They have carried Ivanka’s fashions in stores and online since 2011. Items are currently being phased out on the website where you can find some pieces discounted as much as 80%.
Management has said that they change out as much as “10% of their inventory” every year to stay up-to-date with the latest trends. And yet, they haven’t felt the need to change out the Ivanka fashion line–until now.
An email from Nordstrom obtained by Fortune in 2016 tells a bit of a different story. It gives the impression their “decision” is being made for…

The email, sent to staff members, alludes to the divisive political climate that currently exists in the country:
“We’ve heard from customers, including some who are long time loyal customers, threatening a boycott of Nordstrom if we continue to carry the line. Similarly, we’ve heard from customers who say they will boycott Nordstrom if we stop carrying the brand. This is a sharply divisive subject. No matter what we do, we are going to end up disappointing some of our customers.”
They also stated in the email that they had no plans to stop selling her line. So why are they doing it now, just three months later?
Could it be they are caving to the anti-Trump group grabyourwallet.org?
The extreme left group made headlines recently for their call to boycott L.L. Bean. In fact, they are encouraging boycotts of any company that sells Donald or Ivanka Trump products.
Judging by the email, it would seem that Nordstrom had to choose which type of customers it is willing to lose.
So the question is, did they chose to stand on the side of their “politically correct” patrons? Or did they succumb to the left-wing bullies and use their customers as a political whip?
I no longer will go to Nordstrom! ever for anything!
There should be no respect for the store Nordstrom. If the product was terrible and didn’t sell different story. So they stuck their nose up in the air and decided that regular people are not good enough to be their customers. I really hope they lose big time because of their choice to bow down to bullies ie “snowflakes”.

They know that the liberal media will kill their sales and they are afraid of the extreme left that will not only do sales damage, but they know that they are capable of physical damage as well and they are not willing to take that chance after seeing all the rioting and looting the far left is responsible for.

I will still not shop at Nordstrom but I am glad they are dropping Ivanka. Today she has proven to be a liberal and an influence in destroying the true sanctity of marriage and family. Don’t let her deceive you. Her and her husband do not share in her father’s conservative views. She has got herself in a double edge sword. I hope every store that carries her line drops her. Let’s see where this goes when liberals notice she is actually on their side. Then you will see the true side of corporate America they don’t care about beliefs, much less morals their god is money. I have never bought her clothing before, but since Nordstrom dropped her, I researched her clothing, and it is very nice! I just purchased my first handbag!!! Thank you MSM for giving her clothing line a free boost of press. I know many of my friends now also intend to support her clothing line too!!

I have never shopped, and certainly will not ever shop, in a Nordstrom and I don’t wear Ivanka’s dresses, but since they came down on LL Bean, I have ordered a lot of stuff from them and will continue to do so. Leftist’s need to be cleansed from our Nation, same as Islam. Both are the Syphilis of the Soul and the Rot of a Civilizations!

Didn’t Nordstrom start as a shoe store in Seattle years ago? Seattle, the only city rivaling San Francisco for left wing craziness. Of course, this was political. I have spent a lot of money there over the years. That stops as of this minute.
Canceling credit card and won’t be shopping there. Ridiculous…..If they had done something similar to the Obama girls or Chelsea what would have happened? Nordstrom just lost my business! I think they will find it’s the conservatives that have the money. Not the hoodlums. Most of my shopping is online these days… Ivanka will have no trouble selling her line through her own website. May be the best thing to happen to her. ?
