About 20% of adults 18 and up have at least one tattoo and about 14% have two tattoos or more, according to creditdonkey.com. In 2014, the tattoo industry pulled in $3 billion in revenue. That’s a massive amount of money spent on skin ink.

Knowing these stats, we’re bound to see a lot of tattoos in the country music world, and some of them are very interesting.

Here are 10 totally awesome tattoos seen on country music stars.

Keith Urban

Urban shows his love with his tattoos. On his right bicep, he’s got “Nicole” with hearts tattooed around it. Along with this, he has “NMK” tattooed on his right wrist for his wife, Nicole Kidman.

Apparently, he’s also into birds. Tattooed on his chest, he has a phoenix. On his left forearm, he has a Native American thunderbird (pictured above), and he has an eagle on ihs right shoulder blade, which he got shortly after moving to the US.

Miranda Lambert

Despite her father’s enmity towards tattoos, Lambert has a double six-shooter with wings tattooed on her forearm. And anyone who knows anything about her knows that she loves animals and started MuttNation, an organization she started to help end animal cruelty, neglect, and homelessness. She has the MuttNation logo tattooed on her foot.

Blake Shelton

Lambert’s ex reportedly hates his tattoo. Many people probably have tattoo regrets, but Shelton really despises his, saying it’s “the crappiest tattoo — not only in country music — but maybe the world.”

Apparently, after a wild night out, he got deer tracks inked on his forearm (pictured above). His friends told him the tracks look like ladybugs, so he went and added the barbed wire.

Joe Don Rooney from Rascal Flatts

Rooney is the only tattooed Rascal, so it stands out, but in a good way. He’s got an eagle on his left forearm; very patriotic. If Rascal Flatts ever performs without shirts, maybe we’ll see that they’ve all got chest tattoos. You never know.

Brantley Gilbert

Gilbert loves the ink. He has a cross outline on his left bicep, he has a details piece on his forearm (pictured above), which depicts heaven and hell. He also has tattoos on his rib cage, supposedly one of the most painful places to get a tattoo, and between his shoulder blades.

Charles Kelley from Lady Antebellum

Kelley shows his love for The Beatles, with some lyrics from “Blackbird” on his right forearm. He also has the flower of life, which refers to “Across The Universe,” tatted on his left bicep. Maybe his success is due to channeling The Fab Four’s spirits through his ink.

Zac Brown

Brown has a bunch of inked body art. A couple that stand out are the one on his left forearm, “You Get What You Give,” the title of his platinum album. He’s also got “S-J-L-G” on his arm, which stands for Shelly, Justice, Lucy and Georgia, the names of his wife and three children respectively. We’ll see what he does now that he has another daughter, Joni.
