If you are a veteran fan of the Big Bang Theory, than you know that Raj has a big problem with talking to women. Whenever he is addressed by someone of the female gender, he often is unable to speak and becomes rather panicked. However, if you haven’t been keeping up with the series, as it progress Raj starts to have more luck with the ladies. We discover in one episode that Raj is able to hang out with Penny as long as he has some alcohol in his system. True, that is not much improvement. But then Raj meets Emily and some hilarity does ensue. But the question is will Raj ultimately end up with her? Let’s look at the facts.

Emily is introduced in season seven in the episode “The Friendship Turbulence.” She is a dermatologist and contacts Raj on a dating site. Raj has Amy contact her as his “wing-woman”. As Amy and Emily exchange emails, they find that they have a lot in common. They both attended Harvard, are doctors, and like crocheting and Chaucer.

Unfortunately Emily doesn’t like Raj’s inability to communicate with her directly. Amy and Emily meet on a coffee date and Raj barges in. Emily becomes uncomfortable by this and doesn’t want anything to do with either of them.

In “The Indecision Amalgamation,” Raj meets Emily again at the same coffee shop and apologizes for his previous actions. She gives him another chance and agrees to go out to dinner with him. Then Raj finds out that Lucy wants to see him again and he finds himself dating two women. However, Emily is fine with it. Raj and Emily actually start getting along together and something seems to be sparking between them.

Later in “The Relationship Diremption”, Raj and Emily have dinner with the Wolowitzes. Howard recognizes her because he was set up on a blind date with Emily sometime near 2009 before he met Bernadette. He had stomach problems, had to go to the bathroom and clogged her toilet. He was too embarrassed to tell her so he ran out through the window. They meet again at dinner where she is now dating Raj. Emily reveals she’s okay with it and her friends love the story. They call him “Clogzilla.” Ouch.

In “The Anything Can Happen Recurrence”, Raj and Howard watch the film House of 1000 Corpses because Emily wants to watch it with Raj. They are both a bit freaked out and wonder how Emily could like this type of movie. On their date, Raj tells Emily how he feels about it and she considers his point of view. She admits that it turns her on, so Raj immediately starts it so they can watch it. Raj, that may be a bad sign.

Raj finds Emily at the movies with another guy in the episode “The Gorilla Dissolution.” Emily later reveals that the guy was her tattoo artist who had been asking her out for weeks. It was pretty much a pity date to shut the guy up. After some playing flirting, they start to kiss and she spends the night.

That concludes Emily’s appearance in season seven. This article may be running a bit long, so stay tuned for part 2. With just a few incidents of weirdness, things in this relationship actually seem pretty good. But what causes the two to their eventual split?
