The ever controversial Phil Robertson, patriarch of Duck Dynasty, has not always found favor with other celebrities. Often times, for the things he would say publicly.

Back when people got upset about Phil’s remarks published in GQ, one such celebrity spoke out about his disapproval of the comments. Phil’s remarks included his beliefs on homosexuality.

“Start with homosexual behavior and just morph out from there,” Phil said. “Bestiality, sleeping around with this woman and that woman and that woman and those men.”

He later clarified his statements. But Rev. Jesse Jackson, the well-known American civil rights activist, held a press conference in response.

Jackson said Phil’s words were more offensive than the comments made by Rosa Parks’ bus driver.

“At least the bus driver, who ordered Rosa Parks to surrender her seat to a white person, was following state law,” Jackson said. “Robertson’s statements were uttered freely and openly without cover of the law, within a context of what he seemed to believe was ‘white privilege.’”

In his clarifying statement, Phil seemed to show humility.

“I don’t worry too much about people hating or insulting me,” he told Us Weekly. “I’m a sinful man, and I’ve made a lot of mistakes. People have reason to hate me.”

However, probably to Rev. Jackson’s (and a lot of other people’s) dismay, Phil stood by his original statements.

“All I did was quote a passage of scripture from antiquity,” he continued. “They’re mad at me, but I’m really just quoting what God said, so He’s the one they have a problem with.”

Jesse WHO? The last person I would taken any advise from on any subject matter , is a BLM, black panther wanna be! I have lived my life similarly to Mr. Robertsons, that is, I’ve taught my children that God made “man” and “women” for a reason, PROCREATION! Having sex for “recreation” with whomever , that is (man/man) or (woman/woman) or man, woman/animal or any perverted combination the sick perverts have come up with in the last 50 years is WRONG AND THE PENALTY FOR THIS KIND OF BEHAVIOR WILL BE BY GODS HAND!

Actually sex can be for pleasure as well as procreation. But only between Husband and Wife. Woman and a man. God created sex to be enjoyed as well.

Jackson and Sharpton foment racism for personal profit. Sad.

Je$$e Jack$on and Al $harpton, what a circus act. There can never be a reconciliation between the races, for that would take away their income!

  • Herman Norman

Phil’s gospel must have stepped on Jackson’s toes. Since Jackson is the father of an illegitimate child and also the father of one that is prison!

  • amberann

I think of Jesse Jackson(and Al Sharpon) as more of a racist and hate baiter.

  • Brenda Wells

Jackson is just jealous, because Phil Robertson can Quote the Bible better, than Jackson, Phil knows his stuff, and a lot of people listen to him!!!!!!!! <3 Keep up the good work Phil Robertson ! And I Pray our family buys their own TV Station so, you can keep Duck Dynasty on TV ! You would have the # 1 program !!!!!!!!! <3

  • Brian

ok going to put this out there. Just because you put Rev. in front of you name does in no way make you a preacher. Especially one who has made millions from race baiting and spreading hate. So Jesse Jackson call you buddy Al Sharpton clean up how both made millions on hate not love before you point fingers at anyone.
