Former Bush Attorney General Said Trump Likely Correct About Surveillance

Besides evidence from other Obama wiretappings, former Attorney General Michael Mukasey also said that it’s likely Obama wiretapped Trump Towers. Mukasey said that it’s likely that there was surveillance on Trump Tower in the past.

“I think he’s right in that there was surveillance and that it was conducted at the behest of the attorney general — at the Justice Department,” confirmed Mukasey on ABC’s This Week.

This was after President Trump accused Obama of wiretapping before the election.

One spokesman for Obama denied these accusations about surveillance on the towers. “A cardinal rule of the Obama Administration was that no White House official ever interfered with any independent investigation led by the Department of Justice,” said Kevin Lewis.

Lewis’ response is trying to imply that it was going on under the President’s nose, but somehow the Commander in Chief was unaware of the happenings within the White House. “As part of that practice, neither President Obama nor any White House official ever ordered surveillance on any U.S. citizen.”

This is, of course, complete nonsense…
