Saturday Night Live has gotten themselves in some hot water before. But the water they just landed themselves in, thanks to one of their writers, is beyond boiling.
Just about everyone knows about the SNL skits making fun of President Trump. Like it or not, it is a comedy show and they make fun of a lot of people. But the latest comments by writer Katy Rich weren’t funny. In fact, they went way past the line of what is acceptable.
On inauguration day, Rich tweeted in reference to Barron Trump, the president’s 10-year-old son:
“Barron will be this country’s first homeschool shooter”
His life has undoubtedly been turned upside down by his father winning the presidency. And now this. What exactly was she thinking? My guess is she wasn’t.
Her horrible tweet has now been deleted. But the damage is done. People are furious and calling for her to be…

I’ve been done with SNL for about a year. Just reaffirmed why I quit watching.

Rude unacceptable behavior bullying a child is way crossing the line. No child deserves this unacceptable behavior. As an adult, we are to set examples to our kids. I really hope he is not getting lashed out from other children because of ignorance. I wonder how she would feel if it were her child?
