Mayim Bialik may have taken things a bit too far when it came to her latest Instagram video.
The Big Bang Theory actress has had a lot of time to think on her hands, with her 30-day vocal rest going on, and it seems she might be at a breaking point.
Mayim Bialik’s Existential Video
Mayim Bialik has been a quest for internet fame lately, after signing with Studio 71. The media agency helps online influencers grow their followings, and monetize their success. That’s why it’s no wonder that Mayim has continued to make viral videos, even after being prescribed 30 days of vocal rest.
Mayim told her fans she wouldn’t be able to speak for a full month, after speaking with her ear nose and throat doctor about permanent vocal chord damage she sustained from her everyday life, as well as her career as an actress. Mayim said, “Here’s a pic of me waiting for a check up from my ENT. I can’t speak for a month. Yup.” She then added, “…I can still make videos voiceless!!!” which is exactly what Mayim has done since receiving her diagnosis.
Mayim captioned her latest video, “Sometimes I’m amazed we even exist. That we can get on a plane and be on the other side of the Earth in a matter of hours…” These thoughts seem harmless enough, but the actual video, voiced by Mayim’s friend Rob goes a bit deeper.
Mayim’s Deepest Thoughts
Rob expresses Mayim’s thoughts saying, “Do you ever feel freaked out that we exist? Like totally completely utterly floored by the fact that we have consciousness. Happens to me a lot.”
Mayim then goes on to admit (through Rob) that she will sometimes feel out of her body, Mayim said she’ll be on a plane taking off and she’ll “get a flash of not being in my body.” Mayim says this feeling is called dissociation, and she describes it as not scary, but exhilarating.
We wonder if all of these thoughts are coming to Mayim now that she can only watch for most of life, and not speak. We hope this leads to lots of observation and positive experiences, not trauma and anxiety. We are certainly interested to see what her next voiceless video will bring.
