Duck Dynasty has given the Robertson a special kind of fame — one where you’re a celebrity, but a respectable celebrity. They recently looked back on how 10 seasons of the show as shaped their famous lives.
Korie and Willie Robertson recently reminisced over the past 10 seasons of Duck Dynasty (source: The Gospel Herald) For Willie, the best part of his fame as been “Getting to meet people [he looks] up to, whether they’re athletes, musicians, actors or politicians.”
“You get to have a quality conversation and learn what’s cool about their life,” he told Us Magazine.
His wife, Korie, had a similar response.
“For me it’s the opportunity to travel and meet people,” she said. “We may be speaking at a fundraiser and learn, wow, this really awesome thing is happening in the world. We’ve visited children’s hospitals to be with dying kids who had a wish to meet us.”
They’ve also gotten to meet other celebrities — people they probably never dreamed of meeting. Korie loved meeting a certain famous actress.

“The first time we went to the White House Correspondents’ Dinner [in 2013], the Secret Service guys were like, ‘Mr. and Mrs. Robertson, the Obamas would like to meet you,’” she said. “They pulled us behind a curtain into this room. Nicole Kidman was there!”
But, like any type of fame, the good comes with the not-so-good and the strange. One offshoot of the Duck Dynasty success has been merchandise (as you’re probably aware if you’re a fan). For example, Willie said the weirdest piece of merchandise was a Chia Willie. That’s odd, but Korie topped Willie’s answer.
“My face is on the back of a toddler’s underwear,” she said.
