3Sonequa Martin-Green Talks Stunts

“It’s a lot of action,” exclaimed Sonequa Martin-Green, about her scenes in “The Other Side” with co-star Christian Serratos. “There’s fire and there’s walkers and we’re doing our mission. Priority number one is getting transportation.”
In the scene, Sasha and Rosita just escaped Hilltop without being stopped or confronted by the Saviors. With a now-or-never-like mentality, the duo head off to the Sanctuary with Jesus’ map and a sniper rifle to take out Negan.
“We got to get to the Sanctuary, to do what we gotta do,” said the actress.

In the scene, the girls find a used car lot, but the fence is full of walkers. In order to distract the nearby walkers, they find a car next to the fence, shoot out the window, cut the chain-linked fence, and start a fire inside the vehicle.
With the vehicle on fire, they are free to run from car to car in order to try and find a vehicle that will start. Rosita eventually hot-wires a car and then yells for Sasha to “get in” to the vehicle.
The characters are still feuding at this point in the episode.
