Yes, Mayim Bialik and Johnny Galecki have known each other for quite some time. Before Galecki was even on Roseanne, he was Jason on Blossom. He appeared on the episode Sex Lies and Teenagers. The pair even shared an onscreen kiss. We bet they never would have guessed that in their 30s they would be regular costars on the most watched Network Comedy.

Hope and Faith

Johnny appeared in Faith Ford and Kelly Rippa’s show Hope and Faith. His character, Jay, befriended the sister’s dad in the episode Blood is Thicker Than Daughter. He appeared in a total of three episodes.

American Dreamer

Before he even locked lips with Mayim, Johnny guest starred on the comedy American Dreamer. His character’s name was Danny Nash and he stuck around for 17 episodes. Other stars who acted alongside him include Robert Ulrich, Carol Kane, Margaret Welsh, and John Glover.

Galecki recently told Stephen Colbert that he moved to Hollywood on his own at just 15 years old. He is originally from Chicago but made the leap by himself in order to pursue acting. He lived alone, which is hard to imagine at that age. Colbert told him, “If I was 15 and had my own TV show I might’ve partied quite a bit.” 

National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation

One of Galecki’s most notable early roles was in National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation. The TBBT star played Rusty Griswold, the son of Clark.

Billy

In 1992 Johnny Galecki played David MacGregor in the series Billy. David was a teenager whose mother married the titleholder Billy in a green-card agreement. He also appeared in I Know What You Did Last Summer, Vanilla Sky, Bookies, and Hancock. Johnny acted in a total of 24 films before TBBT and 12 TV series. So what is he up to next?

Rings

He will appear in the new horror film Rings, the third installment in The Ring series. Johnny told Colbert that horror films aren’t his favorite to make because they require so many special effects. He plays Gabriel, a professor to two people who have watched the deadly video that the film surrounds. This is surely a step out of his comfort zone and should be interesting to see.
