After seeing a hurtful post, Sadie Robertson took to Instagram to post a message of her own, to cyber bullies. The Duck Commander teen has been vocal in the past about living an authentic life and loving others. Here’s what Sadie had to say when her friends were bullied online.

Sadie posted this picture of her two friends on her Instagram account earlier this week. The picture shows unkind memes and cyber bullying. Sadie wrote, “Seeing 2 of my friends get hurt the same way I have in the past has lead me to this. how do you look at yourself, how do others look at you, how does God look at you. •Others – Our culture has a very off perspective. Have we gotten confused on the difference between the screens and the human themselves? It seems like in the most “connected” world this is the most separated we have ever been. The comments, the memes, the sub-tweets, the twitter wars… We have taken all the human out of the screen.” Sadie has spoken out in the past when she received hate and critiques from online commenters.

A Call To Live Original

Sadie went on to challenge her 2.9 Instagram to take a good look at what they are posting online. She hopes they will not find their value in what they see in the mirror, but in what is in their hearts. Sadie Robertson wrote, “Have we gotten confused on the difference between the screens and the human themselves? It seems like in the most “connected” world this is the most separated we have ever been. The comments, the memes, the sub-tweets, the twitter wars… We have taken all the human out of the screen. Instead of seeing a heart, all you are seeing is a face. Instead of seeing beauty, all you see are the things that are different in that person. This creates a separation between us. Humans are so much more important than a screen. No amount of retweets will ever be worth the pain you feel on the other side of the screen when you feel like you have been a “savage”.”

Friendsgiving

Sadie also spent part of this week with a large group of friends. The girls were celebrating a late “Friendsgiving.” Friendsgivings have been very popular the past few years. Friends have gathered on a separate day to share their own meal and give thanks together. Sadie told her followers that what they may need is simply a good friend. The Duck Commander teen wrote, “This picture is filled up with the purest of joy. I hope it makes you smile today too <3 note of encouragement: maybe you need some good friends in your life. Keep praying. God knows and God provides. Seek and you will absolutely find. He is faithful.”
