According to Bernie Sanders, the reason Hilary Clinton lost the election is because the Democratic Party was more focused on raising money from wealthy individuals than campaigning. Sanders said that despite disliking Donald Trump, millions of people had voted for him because he pledged to improve life for working families.

“Let’s be clear  – [Trump] goes into the White House as the least popular presidential candidate in American history. His unfavourable ratings were off the charts,” Mr. Sanders told Radio 4’s Today programme.

“What he did was appeal to a lot of angst and anxiety, and unhappiness in America, in terms of what’s happening to working families,” Sanders said.

“There are millions of families in this country where people are working two or three jobs, where people can’t afford childcare, they can’t afford to send their kids to college, they’ve seen their jobs go to China or Mexico. They’re hurting.” Bernie Sanders believes that the Democratic Party is not doing enough for the working families.

“They’re more concerned about raising money from wealthy individuals than they have been about bringing working people into the party and taking on the billionaire class, taking on Wall Street, the drug companies or the insurance companies,” he said.

Trump’s New CIA Director Obliterated Hillary Clinton at Those “Meaningless” Benghazi Hearings

Trump’s future CIA Director, Mike Pompeo, was all over Hilary Clinton in October of last year. Pompeo wasn’t planning to go easy on a witness in Congress who thought she was unaccountable for her actions. “Why didn’t you fire someone?” Pompeo asked.

“In Kansas, I get asked constantly, why has no one been held accountable? How come not a single person lost a single paycheck, connected to the fact we had the first ambassador killed since 1979. How come no one has been held accountable to date?”
