3Daryl’s Heartbreaking Moments

The Walking Dead has been particularly heartbreaking this season. Most of the emotional baggage has come from Daryl Dixon. The first scene was his reunion with Rick Grimes, followed by Carol Peletier, and then Maggie Greene.
Daryl missed Rick and Carol, but he truly feels guilty for Glenn’s death, so his reunion with Maggie was all the more powerful. Daryl actually avoided her as long as he could, but was forced to unite while hiding from the Saviors.
Maggie never blamed Daryl for Glenn’s death.

On Talking Dead, actress Lauren Cohan spoke about the powerful conversation:
“I think it was so painful… she could see what he was going through, so she tried to connected with him when they were out there and he’s sitting away from the group at a picnic table. And I think when they are finally thrown together in the root cellar and they get to confront the issue… so heartbreaking because it’s the same kind of guilt I think she remembers from him feeling with Beth.”
This is the first time, in a while, Maggie hasn’t distracted herself as well.
