Toby Keith’s daughter, Krystal, was hit by a drunk driver over the Fourth of July weekend.

She’s even sung with her dad on his single, “Mockingbird” in 2004. She too has a country music career, with one album under her belt.
But her promising future was almost cut short.
Krystal posted a photo on Instagram of her totaled car, saying she, her husband, and their one-year-old daughter, Hensley, almost didn’t make it out of it alive.
In the caption of the photo, she explained what happened.
“Our 4th turned pretty horrific,” she wrote. “Hensley, Drew and I were on the way to watch fireworks on the 4th. A drunk driver almost took the lives of my entire family. We all survived the wreck but it’s gonna take some time to heal. Keep us in your prayers.”
In light of this, she then told her 10.4 thousand Instagram followers to do two things
“Hug your babies and spouses tight,” she wrote. “DON’T DRINK AND DRIVE.”
Krystal truly loves her family, especially her daughter, and it would have been a shame to lose these three humans. If you look at her Instagram photos, a lot of them are of Hensley, a sign that these two are almost inseparable.

So remember, if you ever think it’s okay to drive drunk, think of the people you’re putting in danger. Babies, toddlers, their moms. Other people, good people. Plus, you’re putting your own life at risk.
