Donald Trump says he can take a joke, but SNL’s latest skit covering the debates seems to be too much for him according to recent comments.
On other instances, the show portrayed him in very unflattering ways, yet he didn’t say much of anything before. Now, he’s claiming that SNL is working against him in the rigging of this election. Sunday morning he tweeted, “Watched Saturday Night Live hit job on me. Time to retire the boring and unfunny show. Alec Baldwin portrayal stinks. Media rigging election!”
SNL Butchers Trump
SNL decided to do a sketch about the presidential town hall debate and Alec Baldwin who is portraying Trump is asked about if he likes kids or not. He said, “I love the kids, okay? I love them so much I marry them.” Then, later on, he says that Bill Clinton’s accusers are accurate but those who are accusing him, “need to shut the hell up.”
Then in another part of the skit, Trump is stalking Clinton and Baldwin is asked about if a black man can be a “devoted president to all the people.” Trump says stuff about inner city violence and then turns to Clinton and says, “She’s committed so many crimes, she’s basically a black.”
The media has been rough on Donald Trump and SNL continues to put salt in the wound. Trump played into the SNL and laughed along with everyone else during the show. This time, this impersonation comes at a bad time where the media and news outlets are coming at him with hurtful allegations just a month before the elections. Understandably he’s failed to see the humor in it. To add on top of that, satire is often hard to swallow as it can make a mockery out of things that are quite important.
The Tweets For Satire
Sarah J. Schmitt tweeted, “Clinton has been satire by SNL for decades. She’s said nothing. Trump cries after a couple weeks? #weak”
Oatmeal heather adds, “Hi I’m Donald trump and I get upset about SNL because I don’t understand satire!! HUHHHHHHHHHHH.”
Roberta Clemente tweeted, “Last night’s SNL skit with Clinton & Trump satire was hysterical! Alec Baldwin was “the Donald!” laughed so hard! Bravo #SNL #USA #debate”
This can be dangerous for Trump. When he targets the media, his polling numbers go down. He’s overused the words “rigged election.” Since then, Clinton has been sitting pretty in the polls.
SNL even acknowledged that they messed up by inviting Donald Trump when Lin Manuel Miranda paused in front of a picture of Trump so he can take one of his infamous pictures. SNL was quite surprised that it took almost 3 weeks for Trump to complain about Baldwin and his impression skills.

Well, Hillary Clinton is loving Baldwin. She said, “He was amazing. It looks like he had been almost shadowing Trump. His look, his scowling, his staring down and then muttering his responses. It was perfect.” The fact that Hillary Clinton is loving this that much just proves that SNL is helping her shoot down Donald Trump.
