Anti-Christian Hate

Photo credit: facebook.com Men, women, and children gathered together in early April, at a Christian conference in Sioux Falls, SD. In total, more than 300 people attended the event hosted by former Muslim turned Christian pastor, Shahram Hadian, and Christian Radio Host Brannon Howse. None of them were aware of the danger that lurked just outside the conference doors.

The man in the viral FB post is 45-year old Ehab Jaber, a 20-year resident of Sioux Falls and a Muslim. It’s not known exactly why he went to the event, but based on his obscenity laced video and the numerous weapons he brandished, people are questioning his motives. Jaber insisted that the conference was an “anti-Muslim” event and that he went to “protest” their hateful rhetoric.

He went into the conference for a short-time and then was reportedly escorted out of the event because he was filming and armed with a handgun. He wore a t-shirt with printed messages including “I am a Muslim,” and one indicating he “conceal carried” a handgun.

Jaber spoke with KDLT and said he “didn’t go to hurt anyone.” Asked why he made the video, he responded with “because I can.” Touting his “rights” as an American citizen, Jaber said:

“There’s a lot of people out there who are going to think that because I’m Muslim I shouldn’t have that right, but tough. Build a time machine, go back in time and change the constitution and we’ll talk about it then.”

Sioux Falls police said they had no plans to charge Jaber, noting that “his guns were legal and he had a conceal-carry permit.” However, after the FBI was called in to investigate the case, State Attorney General, Marty Jackley, announced Jaber would be charged with making terrorist threats. A search of his home turned up additional weapons and stash of methamphetamine. The class-5 felony carries a maximum penalty of five years in prison.
