Ask just about any hurt-feelings leftist and they will tell you that peace and Donald Trump don’t go together. That’s why so many of them are raging right now. They despise the thought of our president winning the coveted Nobel Peace Prize for his work with North Korea.
Last week, Indiana Representative Luke Messer announced he would nominate Trump for Nobel Peace Prize. His announcement came after Kim Jong-Un made history by crossing the North Korea border to meet with Moon Jae-In to discuss ending the decade’s long conflict.
In a letter to the Norwegian Nobel Committee, signed by 18 House Republicans, lawmakers praise Trump’s efforts to denuclearize Pyongyang. “Since taking office, President Trump has worked tirelessly to apply maximum pressure on North Korea to end its illicit weapons program and bring peace to the region,” reads the letter.
In addition, the House Republicans specifically call attention to the tough sanctions the president imposed on the regime. “His Administration successfully united the international community, including China, to impose one of the most successful international sanctions regimes in history,” the letter continued.
Add to that the recent news that American prisoners in North Korea are reportedly being released, it’s hard to say Trump hasn’t earned the win. Lord knows he deserves it far more than Obama did when he won in the first year of his presidency.
They awarded Obama for the “hope and change” we didn’t get until Trump took office eight long years later.
