The U.S. Will Not Take Anymore Of This…
During U.S. Secretary of Defense James Mattis put North Korean leader Kim Jong Un in his place while also calming the leaders of South Korea and Japan. The message is clear: The U.S. will no longer accept Kim Jong Un’s nuclear deployment threats.
Mattis made it clear that the U.S. will stand with its allies against North Korean aggression. The force from North Korea will no longer be tolerated. Unlike his predecessors, Mattis is ready to take a stand.
What Exactly Does This New Union Include?
Mattis revealed, “America’s commitments to defending our allies and to upholding our extended deterrence guarantees remain ironclad: Any attack on the United States, or our allies, will be defeated, and any use of nuclear weapons would be met with a response that would be effective and overwhelming.”
President Obama left a mess for James Mattis. The former President was chasing a nuclear deal with Iran but ignored North Korea’s Kim who was developing a nuclear President the entire time.
This old method has to stop…
Marco Rubio Agrees With Mattis
Similarly, Marco Rubio said, “North Korea is run by a lunatic who has been expanding his nuclear arsenal while President Obama has stood idly by. Our enemies around the world are taking advantage of Obama’s weakness.” Mattis will not accept this weakness.
Perhaps in his later years, Obama’s main concern was his legacy. When one focuses so much on pride, it’s easy to forget the back burner is boiling over. Unfortunately for the country, this meant a nuclear enemy was gaining more and more power.
Do you think that Mattis is taking the right approach with North Korea?
