Watch When Faith Hill Broke Into Tears Singing “I Need You” To Tim McGraw

There’s a reason that Faith Hill and Tim McGraw are the relationship standard. The Nashville Camelot are truly a fairy-tale of a life. The two are partners in love and life, with even their careers highly intertwined And when Faith Hill made a special appearance at the closing show of her husband’s tour, she was so overcome with emotion that she couldn’t even finish telling him “I Need You.”

Once upon a time, Faith Hill and Tim McGraw had their own tours. They toured together before 2007, but there was a period of about ten years where they had their own. Given the popularity of their now-famous Soul2Soul Tour, it’s difficult to even remember this period. But it did exist. And in 2012, McGraw was on his Brothers Of The Sun Tour. On the final night in August, his wife made a special appearance.

When Faith Hill stepped on the stage, casually dressed in a tee shirt and jeans, no one expected what was next. She began singing their 2007 hit duet, “I Need You.” The song peaked at No. 8 on the charts and was included on Tim McGraw’s Let It Go album.

But not far into the song, emotion overcame her. She began crying during the lines “Like the father and the Son need the Holy Ghost, I need you.” Hill took a moment to collect herself, but it was too late. She was completely frozen with emotion and couldn’t continue.

McGraw, being the husband that he is, signaled to the crowd to applaud his wife. He beamed at her with a radiant love.
