Fans gasped in shock as they watched Sheldon proposing to Amy in Thursday night’s TBBT season finale. Apparently, the actors behind the show were just as shocked as fans when they first read the scene in the script.

Sheldon’s proposal seemed to come out of left field, being prompted by Ramona’s shocking kiss. The star behind Sheldon, Jim Parsons, said, “it truly is an earth-quakey type moment for us,” When asked about the shocking cliffhanger from The Big Bang Theory season 10 finale.

Johnny Galecki predicted that fans would be very excited for the big moment. He said, “I think they’re going to be thrilled,” and Kaley added, “Absolutely.” He finished, “I think the audience is going to go crazy.”

However, Many fans found the moment upsetting, considering Sheldon seemed to be motivated by guilt and shock at Ramona kissing him. Kunal Nayyar, on the other hand, thought it was a long time coming. The man behind Raj said, “When I read the script I was like [shakes head]…I got emotional, I got teary eyed.”

Mayim Bialik doesn’t seem to think that Ramona will be a huge problem for the relationship. She said, “I don’t know that Amy is the jealous type, she just doesn’t want other people to be having experiences with him that she’s not a part of.”

Overall The Cast Is Excited

Melissa Rauch seems to think Amy will say yes to Sheldon’s proposal. She told producers, “When I read it I let out a little Yelp! In my dressing room.”

Mayim said, “I was shocked by how this episode ends.” But Jim Parsons didn’t agree, saying, “Nothing surprises me anymore.”

We’ll have to watch the Big Bang Theory Season 11 Premiere to find out if Amy will say yes to Sheldon’s proposal. What do you think will happen?
