Death Stranding, Featuring TWD’s Norman Reedus

Norman Reedus already walks with Telltale on a few The Walking Dead video games, but now he’s signed on to work with legendary director Hideo Kojima. Reedus will play the lead role in the new game, Death Stranding.

The game will also star Mads Mikkelsen (who appears to have his likeness on the cover). You may recognize Mads from Casino Royale, Doctor Strange, Hannibal or even the Star Wars hit, Rogue One.

Currently, Pan’s Labyrinth director Guillermo del Toro is also attached to the project, but may only be providing voice work.

Chatter Amongst Gamers For Death Stranding

Games Radar writes:

“So Death Stranding definitely has a weird vibe about it, the trailers filled as they are with dead whales, fetuses inside containment pods, and a sticky black ooze coating everything in the world. There’s a good chance Death Stranding will feature a healthy dose of sci-fi in there along with all the freaky horror show elements, too – and we may have gotten a huge hint via Norman Reedus’ Instagram account.”

“Now, it could be that this video has nothing to do with Death Stranding at all – Reedus could’ve just seen something cool and wanted to share it. But the trailers currently have more than a few hints in them that point toward the existence of black holes in Death Stranding’s narrative. For one, Norman Reedus’ necklace in the E3 2016 trailer features the equation for the Schwarzschild Radius, which is used by scientists to calculate the radius of a black hole.”

Creating Something “Never Seen Before”

IGN writes:

“In an interview with IGN, Kojima stated: “I want to create something that’s what people expect, but at the same time will have something new that people haven’t seen before.” Kojima also told IGN that he still wanted to work with Guillermo del Toro on something, but wasn’t quite sure what that was — a collaboration that actor Norman Reedus said, “needs to happen.”
