Walking Dead, Senior Class
It’s hard enough to balance school, work, friends, family, and sports for a high school senior. But, for Chandler Riggs, this is likely the easy part compared to fighting over dozens of undead weak after weak for nearly a decade.
The Walking Dead star who plays Carl Grimes is about to graduate high school, but still makes the time to work on the AMC series. Riggs is preparing to graduate from high school this spring.
This led to one epic high school yearbook ad for the young star.

Despite the fame, Chandler Riggs is still just a high school kid, so his parents decided to celebrate the boy’s many accomplishments. The ad was like any kid’s page, except for Riggs also being on the cover of Entertainment Weekly, which was tossed in.
Rigg’s parents wrote:
“From the time you were four years old, we knew you were destined to do great things. You have been given a special gift, and you’ve proven to us that you can balance your professional life with a rigorous school schedule. We didn’t know how you’d be able to keep up with it all, but you’ve done it! We are so proud to be your parents, and we thank you for sharing your crazy journey with us. Congratulations!”
AMC, Auburn, And Walking Dead
When or not you’re the star of an AMC series, your parents are still your parents. Chandler Riggs plans to attend Auburn college next year and it looks like he’ll still try to balance his work and school life.
There has been some speculation that Riggs will leave the show (or be killed off), due to his college load, but for now, he’s going to give it a go. Auburn is near the set for The Walking Dead and the actor can likely take online courses as well.
Chandler Riggs will return as Carl Grimes this October on AMC.
Could you have balanced stardom while in high school?
