Since being killed off on The Walking Dead, Michael Rooker, who played Merle Dixon has landed a role as Yondu in The Guardians of the Galaxy films. In addition, Daryl Dixon’s former brother has also found a role in the Battle Royale-esque action-comedy, The Belko Experiment, written by Dawn of the Dead writer, James Gunn.
With such iconic roles under his belt, Michael Rooker can often be found at some type of Comic Con-like event. Recently, at Walker Stalker Con, the actor stepped up to discuss his take on the ending of The Walking Dead.
It took six seasons for the show to find it’s way to Issue #100 of the comic and now the comic is around Issue #161. Robert Kirkman had originally said he planned on ending the comic in Alexandria, but clearly that’s no longer the case. Now, it would appear that he plans to continue the story for years to come.
So where might the show lead now?
