How The Chemistry Between Amy And Sheldon Makes Them The Quirkiest Characters On TV
Years ago, Jim Parsons felt that if Sheldon Cooper were to ever get married, it would only be for a ratings bump. Now, thanks to Amy Farrah Fowler, it’s clear that his character has found the woman Sheldon should be with and it really is true love.
First of all, “Shamy” both love science with a passion. Whenever they make a decision, it’s science-based and around a hypothesis, then trial and error. They both exist in very different fields, but the two fields work well together.
Excuse the pun, but the two fields help these two “make chemistry.”

Beyond science, they’re simply both into the same weird hobbies. Amy dressed in Hogwarts attire for Sheldon Cooper so they could play a little Harry Potter in the bedroom. She’s also dressed up like a Star Trek doctor for Sheldon.
This season, Sheldon Cooper took things a bit further and gave Amy a real-life frontier experience. Based on her love for Little House on the Prairie, Sheldon decided to create a frontier meal for the couple.
And because they share the same likes and make an effort to like things they may not naturally like, they belong together. But the biggest reason of all revolves around their many quirks.
The Quirkiest Characters On Television
Sheldon Cooper is one of the quirkiest characters on television. A few years ago, it would have been hard to imagine him meeting anyone to appreciate these quirks, but Amy does more than that.
Their relationship is somewhat like the relationship between Michael and Holly on NBC’s hit series, The Office. For years, it didn’t seem like Michael could find love, but he found someone as odd as himself to make it work.
Not only does she appreciate things, like a relationship agreement, but she improves upon his faults and accepts the things he can’t change. Thanks to Amy, Sheldon is now much better at reading emotions and being more thoughtful.
Amy appreciates Sheldon’s need for order and his love of trains. Meanwhile, Sheldon couldn’t care less about Amy’s cardigans or her love for Penny. This is also true when either get sick, especially when Amy sings for poor Sheldon.
Above all else, it’s clear that they will love each other in sickness and in health.
Why else do you think “Shamy” should be together forever? Where should they get married?
