Since I started writing Big Bang Theory posts for this site, I noticed something about Kaley Cuoco. Not often, but every now and then, the actress manages to spark some minor controversies. This one from her past is something that may be frowned upon by some: at the age of 18, Kaley got breast implants.
The Interview
The Big Bang Theory actress revealed in the May 2014 issue of Cosmopolitan that she underwent a breast augmentation procedure in 2004 and couldn’t be happier about it.
It was “the best decision I ever made,” she told the magazine.
Cuoco went under the knife while she starred on the ABC comedy 8 Simple Rules.
Ryan Sweeting
At the time of the interview, Cuoco was married to Ryan Sweeting and dished on their love life.
Cuoco wed Ryan Sweeting on New Year’s Eve after only six months of dating:
“It happened fast,” but she also added “that’s who I am. When we met, I knew he was the one. At my wedding, I felt like a rock star and a badass.”

Funny how those things turn out. A prenuptial agreement was signed on the wedding day, and it was a good thing for Cuoco. Sweeting had been prescribed painkillers for a serious back injury (since he is a tennis player) just months after first meeting Kaley. He soon became dependent on the drugs, but this shouldn’t have been a surprise. Ryan Sweeting had a history of drug and alcohol abuse. He even got a DUI back in 2006. He was in possession of drugs with intent to sell.
“Kaley supported him but she said he couldn’t make the commitment to get sober,” a friend told US Weekly. “He’d tell her he was working on it and instead go get wasted.”
“Kaley told friends that doctors prescribed him something that he was taking too much of,” a source said. “That is when it went downhill again.”
Sweeting had promised to attend rehab in Boston, but sources say that it was too late by then. Honestly, it’s never too late to make a positive change and it was more than likely Ryan that just didn’t want to commit to the work.
Conclusion
However, much like Penny, this was not Cuoco’s only short lived relationship. She also had a 10-day summer 2013 fling with “Man of Steel” star Henry Cavill.
“I had no one following me until I met Superman,” she said of the hunky actor.
“I’ve been in this business for 20 years and my whole life, I could go anywhere, do anything. There had not been one paparazzi photo of me until like several months ago. The recognition was crazy.”
Nowadays, I’m sure that’s not true. Though it seems like just a few years ago, Kaley relied on relationships and more immature antics to gain attention. (just saying!) Everyone is young at some point in their lives and do immature things. Stars are no different from us, I guess.
