These days, social media is everywhere. Odds are, you probably clicked this very article on Facebook.
We keep up with our favorite celebrities on Twitter. We use Facebook to stay in touch with friends and family. Snapchat is great for sharing silly short videos. And how many recipes do you have pinned on Pinterest? Be honest!
So what if our favorite Disney characters had access to these tools? Imagine the pictures and stories that Anna and Elsa from Frozen might post. Give Pinocchio a cell phone and who knows what he’d do.
Well, one artist did imagine just that. Simona Bonafini is an Italian artist and she has an art series called “Fable Selfies.” In a nutshell, the series is about Disney characters posting on Instagram. Bonafini’s style is a little more realistic than Disney, but her pictures are still amazing.
Up first is Tiana and Prince Naveen from The Princess and the Frog. Looks like this selfie was taken after the movie ended, since they’re at Tiana’s Place. And, of course, if wouldn’t be Tiana’s without some authentic beignets.
Mulan is practicing for her exams again. I think Fa Granny better turn around, though. It looks like Mulan still has a lot of work to do…
Here’s Rapunzel showing off a new hairstyle. If you look to her right, you can see Pascal peeking out from behind her. And if you look even farther to the right, you’ll get a glimpse of her unorthodox stylist. Yep, looks like Edward Scissorhands has found a new profession!
Belle just got a new shipment of strange new books in her bookshop. I hope someone warns her that Game of Thrones isn’t exactly “family-friendly.” Then again, you can spot Fifty Shades of Grey on a shelf behind her, so it looks like she’s in the mood for some “mature reading.”
Elsa and Anna
Could there be a more perfect picture to sum up Elsa and Anna? Elsa’s doing her best to look elegant and giving the camera a perfect duckface. Anna, of course, can’t help but be goofy.
Okay, enough with the princesses. Let’s have at least one guy here. Hercules is looked way more toned than he ever did in his movie. Meg seems to agree. Too bad Hades didn’t comment. Something about picturing Hades down in the underworld angerly scrolling through Instagram makes me laugh.
The Evil Queen
By far, the best part of this picture is Snow White. Check out her sly grin as peers around to grab the magic mirror’s attention. I can only imagine what must’ve happened after this picture was snapped.
Finally, here’s Ariel celebrating summer in her favorite clamshell bikini. Look behind her and you’ll spot Sebastian and Flouder keeping an eye on her, just like always.
Which one is your favorite Disney selfie? Who would you most like to take a selfie with?
