There’s always a lot of buzz surrounding the male cast of the Big Bang Theory. With great comedic actors like Johnny Galecki, Jim Parsons, Simon Helberg, and Kunal Nayyar, how can there not be? But here’s a little secret for you, the female cast of the Big Bang Theory are pretty awesome! Read on to find out more about our three lovely ladies: Kaley Coco, Mayim Bialik, and Melissa Rauch.

Kaley Christine Cuoco was born on November 30, 1985 in Camarillo, California. Cuoco started work in the entertainment industry at a young age. She modeled as a child and soon made her way into commercials. Later on, she landed small guest roles on such series as Northern Exposure, 7th Heaven and My So-Called Life. Cuoco was home schooled and had never gone to high school.

Cuoco’s first major role was as was Bridget Hennessy on the sitcom 8 Simple Rules from 2002-2005. She would later play Billie Jenkins in the last season of Charmed before landing the role as Penny, Leonard’s love interest, in the Big Bang Theory.

Cuoco married Ryan Sweeting on December 31, 2013, but they divorced in September 2015.

Melissa Rauch was born on June 23, 1980 in Marlboro, New Jersey. She grew up attending an arts summer camp and had always dreamed of being an actress. Once in college, Rauch focused on her passion and studied at Marymount Manhattan College. She earned her degree in 2002.

After graduating, she worked as a stand-up comedian and eventually starred in her own one-woman show, The Miss Education of Jenna Bush. Her breakthrough was from a guest part on The Big Bang Theory. Originally her character, Bernadette Rosenkowski, was only meant to make a brief appearance. But Rauch won over audiences and became a series regular in the show’s fourth season as Howard Walowitz’s girlfriend and eventual wife.

Rauch has currently dappled a bit in the indie movie circuit with The Bronze, a film she co-wrote with her husband.

Mayim Bialik, who plays Sheldon Cooper’s main squeeze, Amy Farrah Fowler, is no stranger to popular situation comedy shows. She probably has the most experience out of the three as Bialik actually started out very young and gained success early. She was 14 when she landed the role of Blossom Russo on the popular 90s show, Blossom. Look up that show! It’s good!

Bialik was born on December 12, 1975 in San Diego, California. Though, she would take a long break from acting later. Bialik played a young version of Bette Midler’s character in the 1988 film Beaches, and went on to star in her own television show, Blossom (mentioned above).

Once Blossom wrapped, Bialik pursued a Ph.D. in neuroscience from UCLA. Bialik returned to acting in 2009 when she landed the role on the third season of The Big Bang Theory as Dr. Amy Farrah Fowler. Ironically, Amy is a neurobiologist. Her performance as Amy earned her Emmy Award nominations in 2012 and 2015 for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series.

Bialik has two children, Miles and Fredrick, with ex-husband Michael Stone. They were married from 2003-2013.
