Representative Chris Collins (R-NY) Photo credit: Wikipedia It comes as no surprise that after the tragic shooting of Republican congressmen, Democrats are dragging out their tired gun control debate. From Orlando to San Bernardino, Chattanooga, and now Arlington, it’s always about the guns. It’s never about the person committing the crime–unless of course, they are portraying the victim.

The left never wants to acknowledge that in most of these cases, if not all, the people that were wounded or died were unarmed. That wasn’t the case in Arlington, VA where the good guys with guns were able to save lives. And let’s face it, a bad person intent on harming others will find a way, like mowing down people with a car or setting off dirty bombs.

That fact has also been stricken from the liberal gun narrative. However, it hasn’t been lost on conservative lawmakers. Republican NY Representative, Chris Collins, has a conceal carry permit, but rarely leaves his gun in the glove compartment of his vehicle.

But, after watching his colleague, Steve Scalise, and three others get shot during baseball practice, he won’t be leaving it behind anymore. “On a rare occasion I’d have my gun in the glove box or something, but it’s going to be in my pocket from this day forward,”  Collins told a Buffalo ABC affiliate.
