The Walking Dead’s Many Missing Characters
Over the years, The Walking Dead has created a history of introducing thoughtful, deep characters, only to send them on their way, into the great abyss of the undead world. Audiences will usually never know what happens to these characters.
Season 6 was no different when a group of characters were introduced and then never heard from again. In Season 6, Episode 6, Daryl Dixon ran into a man we now know to be Dwight.
During this episode, however, he was only referred to as “D.”
“D” Arrives To Torment Daryl Dixon
It’s likely the creators kept Dwight’s name a secret to throw off fans of the comic, seeing as Dwight was arriving on the show much earlier than he did in the comic series. We also met D’s wife (Sherry) and her sister.
But, besides these people that we do see later, we also met a couple named Cam and Wade. These two were supposedly heading up a search party to track down Dwight and his wife, which is who he was running from.
Based on what we know now, it would appear that these two were Saviors.
“All Out War” During Season 8 Of TWD
During the episode, Cam was bitten by a walker so Wade rushed over and cut Cam’s arm up, using his belt as a tunicate. With the missing arm, Cam should have been immediately noticeable, even if lost in the crowd at the Sanctuary.
Since the Saviors generally operate in groups, it’s possible that these two belong to another outpost, but it does seem strange we haven’t seen them again. After all, Dwight was recaptured, burned, and tossed back into the Sanctuary lineup.
When the series returns in October, it’s likely that we’ll learn a lot more about Negan’s compounds, seeing as he has much more manpower than we saw in the finale of Season 7.
Also, in Robert Kirkman’s All Out War storyline, the compounds play a larger part. It’s possible Cam and Wade will show up to fight Rick in Season 8 of the show.
Do you think we’ll ever see these two again?
