Sadie Robertson recently blasted the modeling industry on her Instagram.

She reveals her frustration with how the modeling industry treats models. And she also talked about how she dealt with it.
A few months ago, she did a photoshoot that she thought would be a no-makeup, natural shoot. When she got there, the director took a quick look at her and was not happy.
“Nope, this girl does not have the face to pull off a no makeup shoot,” he said.
Sadie explains what happened next.

“So they proceeded to spend around 2 hours making it look as though I had no makeup on,” she writes. “Let’s be real I did NOT wake up like that.”
She then revealed that they pinched her stomach to make sure she knew what to get rid of. She’s been told she should lose 10 pounds to look like an actual model.
Fortunately, she has a good perspective on all of this.
“Yet all the while I just smile, laugh, eat and dance my way through the shoots,” she says. “These things at one point in my life would of really hurt me, but now I smile because I know my identity does not lie in my looks, my pictures, people’s comments or my Instagram.
“My identity lies within the hands of my God who I believe created me to be fearfully and wonderfully made.”
She says everyone has the face to do a no-makeup photoshoot.
“The makeup is the extra,” she says. “It’s the fun, but when it becomes your everything that’s when you began to loose everything about what makes you … YOU.”
What a mature way to look at being treated like that.
