Norman Reedus On TWD Longevity

The creators of The Walking Dead have been talking longevity lately. As they enter Season 8, many believe they’ll stretch the series for twenty years. Norman Reedus has also commented on the longevity of the series.
First, Norman Reedus spoke to Entertainment Weekly about the new season, the 100th episode, and the future of the show. Reedus said he never thought the series would last so long, but he loves playing Daryl Dixon.
“I never thought we would get this far,” said Norman Reedus, who plays the bow hunter.

Reedus added, “I don’t think any of us did. This show has been such a big part of our lives. It always felt like we were living it. The tears are real. The bruises are real. The friendships are real. The lines between reality and being on this show are super blurry sometimes…”
“We’re really proud of the work that we’ve done, and it’s been a giant, hard-fought blessing,” said Norman Reedus. All of the other characters has confirmed this thought, and it’s clear the cast is one big family.
Norman Reedus says the cast members are allowing for one another to take chances on the show, which makes for great television.
Daryl Dixon This Season On TWD

When Season 8 returns, Daryl Dixon is going on a rogue mission. Norman Reedus has said that Daryl will be working alongside Rick, but alone. This could refer to him rounding up walkers like he’s done before.
Then again, part of Season 7 consisted of Daryl Dixon on the run, where he had escaped from the Sanctuary. However, he couldn’t be seen by the Saviors at Hilltop or Alexandria, which led to a short stay at the Kingdom.
Finally, if anyone is known for being a loner on the show, it’s Daryl Dixon. He’s spent the last seven seasons making friends, but he’s still a lone wolf at heart, which is true if he’s tracking killers or hiding in the woods.
