The TBBT Gang Meets Bert’s New Girlfriend
In last Thursday’s new Big Bang Theory episode, Bert announced to the TBBT gang that he was dating a new woman. In fact, he called into Sheldon and Amy’s Fun with Flags to tell them just that. After some serious pestering the friends decided to meet Bert’s new girlfriend, but they didn’t exactly handle it well. Here are the best quotes from their introduction.
Raj Is Jealous
Raj couldn’t help but be jealous that Bert has a new girlfriend. Much of season 10 has revolved around Raj’s troubles. First, there’s the fact that he’s just now becoming financially independent. Then you add on top that he’s really the only one of his close friends to be single- it’s got to sting. Here’s what he had to say about meeting Bert’s new girlfriend:
Raj: I can’t believe Bert has a new girlfriend and I don’t.
Amy: I thought you were taking a break from women to focus on your career.

Leonard felt bad for Raj, and tried to solve his predicament.
Leonard: Don’t you have any friends he could date?
Penny: Hey I already set up Bernadette and Howard, it’s your turn to ruin some poor girl’s life.
Sheldon Makes Things Awkward

As Rebecca, Bert’s new girlfriend, entered the apartment Sheldon bluntly pointed out, “She’s younger and far more attractive than he is.” To make things worse, he added, “Hey, they’re copying you two!” as he pointed to Leonard and Penny. When Rebecca proclaimed that she had originally come to Los Angeles to be an actress, Sheldon added, “I’d say she’s copying you again…”
Inevitably the TBBT gang realized that there was nothing to be jealous of in Rebecca and Bert’s relationship. It seemed Bert’s new girlfriend was more interested in his money than him. Don’t worry Raj, now that you’re cut off from you parents you’ll never have that problem.
