Does love last forever? Some say it doesn’t.

Whatever the case, we know that the superficial songs about love last forever. And the library of love songs is full and overflowing.

So, we’ll have to see if Kelsea Ballerini’s new song will stand the test of time.

She unveiled a snippet of the song on social media, sharing her heart with her fans.

“Been working on the new record and writing like crazy,” Ballerini wrote. “Love sharing little pieces as I put the puzzle together, and shared part of this new one on my snap last week. Lots of rumors came from it, so I thought I’d share a bit more and let y’all in further.”

There had been rumors that she was collaborating with Taylor Swift.

“It’s not a collaboration with anyone,” she said, clarifying that she is not making a pop album. She’s pushing the country music borders a little, but definitely not selling out.

“Just exploring all the boundaries of songwriting and creativity I have so I can make the best record I can make for both me and you,” she said. “So, this is ‘Roses.’”

Here are some reactions from Ballerini’s fans

Ballerini on tour

Ballerini seems super excited to start her tour this October through December.

“Come sing along with me this fall on my first ever headlining tour, The First Time Tour,” she says. “You guys make my dreams come true, and I can’t wait to share this other first with you.”

She’s young still, in life and in the country music world. But she seems mature, an old soul even. She’s learned humility.

“I’m 22, so I still have those moments where it’s like, ‘Geez Kelsea, you just acted like a teenager. Don’t do that again,’” she told Taste of Country. “Also I think too, there’s just a lot of added pressures and stuff, just in kind of growing into being an artist … so there have definitely been times where I had to check myself and be like, ‘Just be normal. Don’t try to be cool ever.’”

Apparently, this whole maturing thing started before she was a teenager.

“Life got rocky when I was 12,” Ballerini says on her website, “and this gift of songwriting just fell into my lap. It was literally this blessing that came at the perfect time. And for me, it’s always been that steady thing in my life that I can always go back to.”

She has not announced a title or release date for a new album.
