Do you like horror movies? I already know you like the Big Bang Theory, otherwise why would you be on this page? Well, if you like both of these things, then do I have a treat for you! Our own Leonard, Johnny Galecki, will be starring in the upcoming installment of the Ring franchise. Apart from Galecki, why make another Ring movie though? But that’s probably something for another writer to tackle.

Seven Days…

If you don’t know what the Ring franchise is, I’ll give you the short version: You watch video tape. Seven days pass. Little creepy girl comes out of TV. You die. Hmm, I wonder how Sheldon would react to this.

According to the website, Deadline, Galecki will play Gabriel, a handsome, pleasure-seeking professor who mentors and helps boyfriend and girlfriend duo, Holt (Alex Roe) and Julia (Matilda Lutz). Sources tell Deadline that Galecki’s character is a complete departure from Leonard.

Rings will be released on Friday, November 13. The first film in the series, 2002’s The Ring, was based on the Japanese film Ringu, which was adapted from the novel by Koji Suzuki. The Ring 2 came out in 2005.

The film is set 13 years after the events of the first chapters of the horror franchise:

Julia is worried about her boyfriend Holt when he explores the dark urban legend of a mysterious videotape that kills the viewer seven days after watching She sacrifices herself to save him, and in doing so makes a terrible discovery: there is a “movie within the movie” that no one has ever seen before…

Will I be seeing this film? Probably not in theatres because that little girl scares the h-e-double hockey sticks out of me and I don’t do well with jump scares. But I will probably see it when it comes out on Netflix. Just to see Johnny’s pretty face. I hope he doesn’t die. He probably will. But let’s hope not early on.
