A Fresh Look At Rick’s Dream Sequence

Apparently, there was more to Rick’s dream sequence than meets the eye. In the Season 7 premiere, for a moment, we got to see Rick’s view of the future, which involved everyone sitting around the table together.
With Season 7 now available on Blu-Ray, it turns out there’s much more to that scene. There’s actually an entire sequence, shot in long-form, that includes all of the iconic characters before the table is set.
Not only is Glenn a dad, but it appears that Sasha and Abraham are also expecting.
Heartbreaking Scene Now Available

Entertainment Weekly writes:
“It turns out there was more to that scene that we didn’t see… until now. EW has the exclusive first look at the extended dream sequence that will be included on The Walking Dead Season 7 Blu-ray and DVD sets being released on Aug. 22, and it is even more heartbreaking.”
“See Glenn playing with the child he will never meet on a blanket while also admiring Eugene’s remote controlled car. Witness Abraham and a pregnant Sasha relaxing blissfully on a bench. Watch Maggie tickling her son and kissing Glenn one final time. Everyone looks so damn happy — even Carol, Michonne, and Aaron as they bring food, drink, and firewood to the table. Again… heartbreaking.”
More Tragic Now Than During Premiere?

It’s hard to say if this would have been more tragic in the premiere or if it’s more tragic now. Based on the fact that we’ve had to sit and deal with Glenn and Abraham deaths, plus Sasha, Olivia, and Spencer, it could be even more troubling today.
When the series returns, it’s going to be All Out War. Rick has gathered the troops and based on the trailer, it looks like they’re surrounding the Sanctuary. However, it’s possible that Negan has, even more, men than we’ve seen so far.
