Democrats never met a tax cut they didn’t hate and they want to steal them from hardworking American. California Representative Nancy Pelosi recently spilled the beans about their tax plan should her liberal colleagues win back Congress.
In January, California officials announced a plan to penalize businesses that benefit from the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act. President Trump signed the bill into law last December and many workers began seeing changes in their paychecks this February.
“This bill will help blunt the impact of the federal tax plan on everyday Californians by protecting funding for education, affordable health care, and other core priorities,” Assemblyman Phil Ing said about the California proposal.
Sad to say, their ridiculous plan for higher taxes extends beyond Pelosi’s home state.
Speaking at a townhall event, the House Minority Leader confirmed that “repealing” the Trump tax cuts is first on their agenda if they take back Congress. Along with Trump-hating Congressman Ted Lieu, Pelosi promised to “work with Republicans” for a better deal.
“We’ll sit down at the table and say … what would be a tax bill that creates growth, that creates good paying jobs as it reduces the deficit?” she said. “It’s not about chipping at this piece or that piece, it’s about a comprehensive look at what our tax policy should be for the future.”
A Blue Future
Fortunately, California doesn’t decide national policy. And for now, neither do Democrats. However, should that change after the mid-terms, they’ve already provided a sneak peek at their proposed changes. Suffice it to say, there are no tax cuts involved.
In fact, the plan proposed by Pelosi’s Senate counterpart Chuck Schumer penalizes the very people who create growth and jobs. And we don’t need to remind you what happens after that. Most of you have felt that pain for far too long.
In any case, Democrats seizing control of Congress will be a social and financial Armageddon. Count on an end to (in Pelosi’s words) “terrorist organizations like ICE,” the addition of universal basic welfare, and higher taxes for the middle class.
In other words, goodbye free America and hello U.S.S.A.
Yeah, thanks, but no thanks.
