In a recent interview, Senator John McCain slammed Kim Jong Un and apparently offended the leader of North Korea. McCain was mainly talking about the man’s mental health, but the “fat kid” remark got to him.

“China is the only one that can control Kim Jong-Un, this crazy fat kid that’s running North Korea. He’s not rational. We’re not dealing with someone—even like Joseph Stalin—who had a certain rationality to his barbarity,” said John McCain

Due to this statement, North Korea’s media released the following:

“As such guys as John McCain and Ted Cruz made a provocation tantamount to declaration of war against the DPRK (Democratic People’s Republic of Korea), the DPRK will take steps to counter it. They will have to bitterly experience the disastrous consequences to be entailed by their reckless tongue-lashing.”

According to USA Today:

“The state-run North Korean News Service accused McCain of attacking that nation’s dignity. “Noted idiot John McCain denounced as an infantile lunatic angrily soiling himself after slandering august personages of DPRK,” the service tweeted Thursday. U.N.: Sanctions disrupt humanitarian aid to North Korea McCain has been unmoved by North Korean wrath, tweeting “What, did they want me to call him a crazy skinny kid?”

“The U.S. and most of the world have imposed harsh sanctions against North Korea, primarily due to nuclear and missile testing. North Korea is among the world’s poorest nations, and the U.N. issued a report last week stating that those sanctions have seriously damaged humanitarian aid activities in a country where 40 percent of the 25 million population is undernourished.”

The Huffington Post also reported:

“Chinese websites responded by censoring the searches, which were especially popular among young, irreverent Chinese who tend to look down on their country’s would-be ally. Relations between China and North Korea have been strained by the North’s nuclear weapons program, which China has condemned along with South Korea, Japan, the United States and Russia. But Beijing continues to support the Kim regime with limited trade and diplomatic backing.

“North Korean officials, fearing their leader would find out about the nickname, lodged a formal request with China to prohibit names disparaging Kim from appearing in the media, according to Hong Kong newspaper reports. “Kim Fatty the Third” is such a widely used term in China that it is sometimes suggested by auto-complete algorithms on web portals such as Baidu, China’s leading search engine.”
