It has recently been revealed that during the campaign, Hillary Clinton and six of her aides may have had access to classified and top-secret documents at the State Department. Clinton negotiated the access under the guise of needing “research” for her soon-to-be released memoir. One GOP lawmaker fears she may still have access.

When Hillary Clinton resigned as Secretary of State in 2013, she negotiated continuing access to classified and top-secret documents for herself and six staffers under the designation “research assistants,” according to a powerful senator who notes that Clinton was later deemed “extremely careless” with such information.
The staff apparently retained access even after Clinton announced her run for president in April 2015, according to Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa. The access was ostensibly granted to facilitate work on Clinton’s memoir, but Grassley said he was only able to verify it after the Obama administration left the White House.
Senator Grassley has taken his concerns about Hillary’s access to Secretary of State Rex Tillerson. In addition to Clinton, top aides who also had access included her then chief of staff, Cheryl Mills, traveling chief-of-staff, Huma Abedin, and senior policy advisor Jake Sullivan. The senator has opened a formal inquiry into Clintons’ access to classified information and has cited previous statements by FBI Director, James Comey, as cause for the investigation. In July of last year, Comey made the announcement that “Clinton and her staff were extremely careless in their handling of very sensitive, highly classified information.”
In his letter to Tillerson dated March 30th, Grassley noted that he had “repeatedly” tried to get answers from the Obama administration but they consistently “refused to respond” to his requests. He also noted that John Kerry ignored similar requests in 2015 and 2016.
This revelation begs the questions- why did Hillary need access to classified information to write a memoir and does she still have access? Just hours before President Trump carried-out a pre-dawn missile strike on a Syrian airfield, Hillary gave a curious interview saying he should do just that. Coincidence?
