Even though it’s not always fun to think about, we all have to leave this earth sometime. So we should try to enjoy life as much as possible with the people we love.

And as Tim McGraw’s song says, “I went skydiving, I went rocky mountain climbing, I went 2.7 seconds on a bull name Fumanchu. And I loved deeper, and I spoke sweeter, and I gave forgiveness I’ve been denying. And he said someday I hope you get the chance to live like you were dying.”

So here are 20 things we recommend you do before kicking the bucket.

Go Whitewater Rafting

You don’t need to travel far or have any rafting skills to do this. Just a desire for adventure and little fear.

Hang a Hammock

Hammocks are a needed part of the country life, so this is a must-do.

Take a Roadtrip

Windows down on a sunny day, riding with your best friends and your favorite music blasting. That’s a road trip.

Take a BBQ Road Trip

Take that road trip one step up by giving it a BBQ flavor. Visit Tennessee, Kansas, North Carolina, Texas. They’ve all got the most mouth-watering sauces and meats.

Go See a Drive-in Movie

Take your truck (or your friend’s truck) to the drive-ins, put some chairs in the bed, and boom — you’re ready.

Go See an Outdoor Movie

If you can’t find a drive-in, find an outdoor movie. They’re everywhere. A simple Google search will show you!

Sleep under the stars

Load up on bug spray and snacks. Grab your sleeping bag. Find a big field with a clear view to the sky. Enjoy.

See the Northern Lights

These lights are collisions between electrically charged particles from the sun that enter the earth’s atmosphere. Click here to see where you can see them.

Go skydiving

Just count to three and jump. You won’t regret it.

Ride a zipline

You can feel like you’re flying but stay completely safe!

Go bungee jumping

Step off that ledge and scream your lungs out. (Just make sure to do this with licensed professionals).

Experience zero gravity

Be like OK Go. Float around while singing. Here’s a place that takes reservations for zero-G rides.

Go to a shooting range

What’s a country guy or gal without a gun? Get practicing!

See the ocean

It takes up more than 70% of the earth’s face. It would be amazing if you never saw the ocean before you go.

Go on a cruise

They can actually be somewhat cheap. You can find some for less than $1,000.

Go whale watching

Whale’s are just amazing. And huge. And you need see them.

Swim with dolphins

Here are six places where you can actually swim with dolphins.

Visit a country overseas

Rome. Paris. The Great Wall of China. Anywhere overseas will be a treat.

Donate blood

You literally can help save a life (or multiple lives) by doing this, especially if you have an O- blood type — it’s universal!

Fall in love

In the words of The Beatles, “All you need is love.” This one is more elusive but totally doable and definitely worth it!
