2020 may be three years away, but nevertheless, it is shaping up to be one of the most historical presidential election years ever. It seems former President, Barack Obama, has another plan to take back the White House and reclaim his legacy.

The plan involves his friend and former Attorney General, Eric Holder. Holder has become increasingly more active in finding ways to challenge President Trump on every issue he has put forward. From hindering the president’s crackdown on illegal immigration to opposing stiffer penalties for drug dealers, Holder has been a proverbial “thorn” in President Trump’s side.

According to Holder’s interview with Yahoo News, his “behind-the-scenes” approach is no longer enough. “Up to now, I have been more behind-the-scenes. But that’s about to change. I have a certain status as the former attorney general. A certain familiarity as the first African-American attorney

“Up to now, I have been more behind-the-scenes. But that’s about to change. I have a certain status as the former attorney general. A certain familiarity as the first African-American attorney general,” said Holder.

“There’s a justified perception that I’m close to President Obama. So, I want to use whatever skills I have, whatever notoriety I have, to be effective in opposing things that are, at the end of the day, just bad for the country.” Holder has obviously forgotten that Americans rejected eight more years of Obama’s failed policies when they said no to Hillary Clinton.

Ironically, it was Clinton’s loss that inspired him to step forward. “I thought, frankly, along with everybody else, that after the election, with Hillary Clinton as president, I could walk off the field,” the former attorney general elaborated. But it became clear relatively soon, and certainly sooner than I expected, that I had to get back on the field and be an effective opposition.”

Holder likely plans to use California as the launching pad for his presidential bid. To know exactly who he will cater to as president, one has to look no further than this recent statement that “California is in so many ways a trendsetter, whether it is in pop culture or in politics.”
