Two Methods Under $10 Proven To Rejuvenate Your Skin

When’s the last time you spent over $50 on a specialized, beauty fluid guaranteed to transform your skin in just six weeks? How about $30? If you could achieve healthier skin for under ten bucks, would you try it?

Pure, unfiltered coconut oil costs less than $10. It’s a good skin softener and gives a healthy glow. You can buy it in liquid form–sometimes in the cooking oil section of your grocer–or in a health food store. It also comes as a solid; sold in jars.

regardless of the form you use, rub a small amount between your palms and gently massage it into your face. The solid will melt with the warmth of your hands and both forms will leave a slight scent of coconut.

Don’t let the word “oil” fool you. Coconut oil will not clog your pores. It’s not loaded with petroleum by-products and actually cleanses the pores as it penetrates the skin; removing dirt, makeup, and dead skin cells.

The amazing avocado

Next up for under $10 is the avocado. It not only moisturizes but acts as a natural sunblock. You can rub its oil right into your skin as well.

Avocado oil also helps to heal chapped skin and brings relief to dry, itchy patches. Like coconut oil, it will not clog your pores but some with oily skin may find it to be heavy.

The flesh of an avocado can be mashed and applied to the skin as a mask. If you wish, mix in other ingredients such a tablespoon of olive oil or honey but the puree, alone, will soften your skin.

Settle back and enjoy your mask for fifteen minutes then rinse off with warm water. You’ll notice the softer texture and hydration of your skin right away.

As always, do not use coconut or avocado oils if you’re allergic to them. If you’re not sure, ask a doctor.

Healthier skin does not have to cost a fortune and if you’re looking for all natural ingredients, you can’t go wrong with whole foods turned moisturizers.

My youngest granddaughters love to try these “kitchen beauty” regimes with nana. Maybe yours would too.
