Season 1 Character May Return To TWD

There’s one character from the first season that may, or may not, still be alive. The actor who plays Morales, Juan G. Pareja, has recently revealed that he would love to return to the series.

In the first season, Morales was a survivor known for killing walkers with a baseball bat. When the actor saw Negan on screen, he quickly posted a photo of the comparison, and wrote, “The only thing that can stop a bad guy with a bat, is a good buy with a bat.”

Pareja also tagged Showrunner Scott M. Gimple in the picture.

Kirkman Likes Open-Ended Characters

While it’s unlikely that Morales will return to the series, Robert Kirkman and the crew do wish to leave some character stories open ended. This means they could return later, similar to how Morgan showed up after all of those years.

Within the story, Morales family decided to head towards Birmingham, Alabama rather than Atlanta. It’s likely that the entire country is affected with the virus, so it’s unlikely he found any better news on his trail.

There’s still a chance for Morales to run into Rick again though.

Hypothetical Walking Dead Reunions

If Morales and Rick met again, they would likely be in the Virginia area. Morales would likely inquire about many of the characters we’ve lost, such as Andrea, Merle, Glenn, Jacqui and Dale.

Beyond this potential reunion, there’s also been talk that Morales could end up on Fear The Walking Dead, since the series occupies the same world. For now, this is more speculation than anything, but hopefully, Morales is still alive.

In addition to this major twist, there’s still so much going on with the series that fans are pumped for Season 8 to return in October. Currently, there’s not much information other than Negan’s War is about to begin.

Do you think we’ll ever seen Morales on AMC again?
