Your church is not ready for what’s coming, says prepper Jake McCandless.

He says that because we live in America, we’re privileged to worship in freedom. There’s not much persecution presented to most American Christians.
“In other parts of the world, you know that if you make that profession of faith and you’re going to be baptized and you’re going to follow Christ, you know you’re going to face persecution right off the bat,” he said.
You see, McCandless is not your typical prepper.
He’s a pastor, the head of Prophecy Simplified and he wrote a book called Spiritual Prepper: Tapping Into Overlooked Prophecies To Prepare You For Doomsday.
That’s right — he’s a spiritual prepper. And he says churches in the USA are weak.
“Because of the lack of strength within churches, I think a lot of those who have a heart to live for the Lord are just discouraged,” he said. “That’s a struggle we face. We just need to know from the get go we’re not being trained up as fast as Christians from the past and in other parts of the world, which makes us susceptible to the challenges we may face.”

He said one common thought that hits him is that of have I done enough?
“I’m standing in front of the congregation, asking myself if I have done enough to prepare them to stand through these challenges now and in the future,” McCandless said.
