Walking Dead Fans Ask Crossover Questions
Fans of the undead universe, created by Robert Kirkman, are always hoping to see characters crossover, but it’s yet to happen. There’s speculation about Fear running into The Walking Dead, but so far these are only rumors.
One other speculation came from Telltale’s Walking Dead game. Clementine, one of the main characters, was a hopeful to one day appear on the show. Unfortunately, this doesn’t look like a possibility any longer.
Telltale created the original game back in 2012.
Clementine Will Never Appear On TWD
Comic Book writes:
“But Clementine will never appear in any of the other Walking Dead titles — comics, TV shows, or otherwise. During a panel at San Diego Comic-Con 2017, The Walking Dead‘s writer and creator Robert Kirkman was asked about a potential crossover or recreation of Clementine which would see her interact with Rick Grimes and company in live action or in video game form.”
Unfortunately, Kirkman quickly shot down the idea and invited the crowd to write their own fan fiction, but said it wasn’t a possibility for the show. Fans were understandably upset by the news.
Robert Kirkman Shuts Down The Idea
Robert Kirkman revealed:
“No. I like that if you want to play The Walking Dead video game, you get Clementine, and you get a unique experience. I think that it makes The Walking Dead more special that the comic has an experience, and they’re very linked. It would be cool to see Clementine show up and high-five Carl, but you’re just gonna have to write some fan-fiction, I’m sorry.”
The only connection that might ever happen, according to Kirkman, would be if Oklahoma went up in a nuclear cloud. It’s something that would happen on both The Walking Dead and Fear, but the timelines are currently out of whack so even that’s a long shot.
Do you think there might be a crossover at the end of the series?
