Fans For Fear The Walking Dead

Fear TWD | Photo Credit AMC Fans of The Walking Dead are just plain skeptical of AMC’s Fear the Walking Dead. I mean, we get it, it’s not Rick and the gang, but there’s something to the show that has many fans returning for more and AMC just renewed Season 4 for Fear.

After Madison made it to the Mexican resort, she actually takes over in a Rick-like manner. She does have faults, like Rick, but they mainly revolve around finding her son Nick who has temporarily left to go find other survivors.

Travis also has some Rick-like moves as his character grows.

For a prequel or sister-series like Fear, viewers are going to have to keep an open mind. This might be two different worlds of comparison, but Frasier started on Cheers and dozens of other shows spiraled off, similar to Fear’s undead universe.

Buddy TV writes:

“But instead of comparing, fans need to go into Fear the Walking Dead with an open mind. These characters, though they have some experience in the post-apocalyptic world, are still learning the ropes. They are still hopeful that things will be better once they get back into the United States. As viewers, we know things don’t really get better, as there are many more threats than walkers, but the characters need to get there.”

Similar Backbone Within Fear the Walking Dead

In addition to the comparisons and non-comparisons, the important thing to remember is that there will be blood, and lots of it. Like TWD, FTWD will still have protagonist and antagonists killing walkers and one another.

When The Walking Dead began, fans loved how any character could go at any moment and that’s why they fell in love with certain characters. Fans also loved how the show changed characters over multiple seasons.

As Fear the Walking Dead gears up for Season 3, we’re going to see that motivation that Rick Grimes had back in the early seasons of The Walking Dead.
