“Stop! Just for a minute! No, God!” said Gregory. In the latest episode of The Walking Dead, Maggie Greene makes it clear she means business. In what seems like an agreement with Jesus, the new Hilltop leader actually shows her true colors.
The big debate in Season 8 of The Walking Dead is what to do with Saviors who surrender. After all, Rick Grimes made it clear that he wants to kill all of the Saviors. But given the fact that many are workers, it’s more complicated.
Maggie Greene Wants To Kill Them All
Maggie Greene decides not to immediately kill the Saviors. Instead, she puts them in a jail (barbed wire lot) inside of Hilltop. At first glance, it would seem like she’s agreeing with Jesus in the epic debate.
In reality, she tells Jesus that she is only holding the Saviors as bargaining chips. After the war, she plans to kill them all. Surprisingly, her views are closer to that of Daryl Dixon than Rick Grimes or Jesus.
She even decides to lock up Gregory with the others she can’t trust.
Locking Up All Of The Wolves At Hilltop
Gregory’s message about sheep and wolves is a little too close for comfort for Maggie Greene. Rather than accept his views, she decides to listen to them fully as she puts all of her wolves in one location.
For some fans, this isn’t enough. Many fans want to see Gregory die like just another Savior. Given the fact that she plans to kill all of these prisoners, perhaps that decision will come true in a future episode.
Regardless, since she can’t rightfully decide who is good and who is bad among the wolves, her plan will be to kill them all. Likewise, this seemed to be the plan of Carol and the King before he died.
In fact, Rick Grimes seems to be the only one who is hesitant at this point. After meeting Morales and Baby Gracie, he seems to have lost some of his luster. With Rick in the Scavenger’s prison, perhaps it’s time to kill all of the Saviors.
Do you think Maggie Greene made the right decision about Gregory?
