AMC Releases Behind-the-Scenes Look Rosita’s Zombie Scavenger Scene

While this scene didn’t showcase how important it was at the moment, it’s likely a method of survival the group will need to use once more when the series returns.
Rosita’s initiative to find herself a gun was unique, inspiring, and down-right genius. Recently, AMC released some behind-the-scenes footage of how this shot went down…

“This scene is Rosita on a mission to acquire a gun,” began the actress. Rosita is trying to find a gun “to protect herself and her family [from] Negan.”
In the scene, Rosita brutally killed about five walkers deep in the Georgia woods.
Skillfully, she uses the trees as cover and kills the walkers one-by-one rather than being overcome by them.
“There is so much choreography and you have to have it down precisely.” Serratos credits her choreographers for the success of this scene.

“We’re not filming until we’re ready,” concluded the actress. In what seems like a simple scene, this type of choreography absolutely played a later role in the scene where Rick and Aaron had to paddle through bloated, water zombies in the mid-season finale.
The combination of CGI, special effects, and strategic choreography makes The Walking Dead one of the most unique shows on television.
What did you think of that final walker kill from Rosita?
