Lorenzo James Henrie’s Character Chris in Serious Need of Medication

Travis and Chris returned Sunday Night on Fear the Walking Dead Episode 210: Do Not Disturb. The suspicions of Chris being a bit of a lunatic were solidified this last Sunday on the new episode. Chris’ father Travis ended up devastated at the crazy behavior of his son.

[SPOILER ALERT!] Recap of Lorenzo James Henrie’s Character Chris’s Role Sunday Night

Chris has been suspected to be a ruthless, cold blooded killer. And on Do Not Disturb his suspected killer instinct reared its ugly head. Travis watched in shock and horror while Chris unemotionally slaughtered a random man who found them inside his barn. The man stumbled upon the father-son duo when they snuck onto his property to raid it for resources. It is now clear that Chris is either completely off his rocker, in need of medication, or has adapted.

It’s safe to assume the actions of Chris will negatively affect his relationship with Travis. The brutal nature of Chris is only freshly awakened now. He’ll likely commit more brutal killings without mercy from now on. Once you awaken a monster, the monster tends to grow. What Chris did was evil, there is no other way of putting it. Now Travis has to face the fact that his son is a killer coming into his own. To add more fuel to the fire, Chris’s savageness is considered acceptable by many in the hostile new world.

Lorenzo James Henrie’s Character ChrisTravis sees his son has gone past the line after killing the man in the barn. There is no going back for Chris and Travis to how it used to be. Also, Chris has to be detached from reality to do what he did. So much so that his model of the world has been distorted beyond repair. He clearly holds no value for human life since the world has gone to shit. And every kill he performs makes it that much easier to perform the next one. It’s a snowball effect that will ultimately tumble out of control before exploding, leaving horrendous chaos in its wake.

On a recent interview on Comicbook.com Chris said, “I think his goal right now is to be with these American guys and start a new life where there are no rules. No one’s holding him back.”

His role from a troubled teen to dark hearted villain is a transition that has now started and there is no turning back. The only possible saving grace at this point could be Travis’ love for Chris. Also, with each kill, Chris will slip deeper into darkness before he is so far removed that his old self will disappear completely. It looks like we’ll just have to wait for the next episode to see which path Chris decides to walk on.

Fear the Walking Dead airs Sundays at 9 PM ET on AMC.
