Willie and Korie Robertson admit they didn’t realize how famous they had become until people started showing up at their Duck Commander warehouse. Duck Commander CEO, Willie said, “At first, it was two, and I was like, “Hey, come on in!” Then two turned into 20 turned into 40 turned into 2,000. They were making the pilgrimage down here to be part of it.”

The Robertsons had no idea the sort of fame and fortune they were in for when they premiered Duck Dynasty. They had no way to prepare for it, and Willie says he could have never predicted it. “Five years ago, if someone would have asked me what my goal was, I probably would have been way short of what was going to happen. I don’t want to limit myself or limit God or anything. It will be nice at some point to slow down a little bit, kind of enjoy some of the things we’ve done,” he explained.

Not All Good News

However, it hasn’t been all sunshine and butterflies for the family. The pressure of fame did get to their second oldest daughter, Sadie Robertson. Sadie says that while being in the public eye she experienced mental breakdowns. She told CBN News, “Whenever I was on Dancing With The Stars, whenever I was speaking on a tour called Winter Jam, whenver I was in Duck Dynasty and all these different things I was really battling fear.” She explained further, ““I used to live in a lot of fear. I had a lot of anxiety and really dealt with panic attacks, the whole nine yards.”

As for whether or not the family would like to come back to television? Sadie Robertson says no; “We are totally on break. My little siblings are growing up, and my parents just wanted to be parents, and raise them up in a normal way, and try to get that normal capacity back. For me, I moved to Nashville. We’re all around right now, doing our thing. Maybe one day, but it would have to be a while.”
